Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Recruitment Compliance Officer
to join Empowering U Healthcare in the UK. This role is critical in ensuring that all recruitment processes meet regulatory, safeguarding, and legal requirements while enabling the rapid and effective onboarding of high-quality staff. The successful candidate will be passionate about recruitment, highly organised, and committed to maintaining the highest compliance standards within health and social care.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee end-to-end
recruitment compliance
for all new starters.
Ensure all recruitment activity complies with CQC standards, safer recruitment practices, and UK employment legislation.
Conduct and verify pre-employment checks including DBS, Right to Work, references, qualifications, and employment history.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date staff compliance records and audit files.
Work closely with managers and recruiters to
source, screen, and onboard suitable candidates quickly and efficiently
.
Identify and resolve recruitment compliance gaps or risks promptly.
Monitor changes in recruitment, safeguarding, and healthcare regulations and update processes accordingly.
Prepare compliance reports and audits for management and inspections.
Provide guidance and training to managers on safer recruitment and compliance best practice.
Support continuous improvement of recruitment and onboarding processes.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in
recruitment compliance
within health or social care.
Strong understanding of CQC requirements, safer recruitment standards, and safeguarding legislation.
Demonstrable experience in recruiting and onboarding staff efficiently while maintaining compliance.
Passion for recruitment and building safe, effective care teams.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with candidates, managers, and external bodies.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using recruitment or compliance management systems is desirable.
