Role Summary




Abingdon School is looking to appoint a confident and experienced HR professional to join our friendly HR team. They will be responsible for managing our busy recruitment schedule, as well as supporting wider HR operations.


This is an important role, taking responsibility for the planning and management of all aspects of staff recruitment and selection across a very wide range of campaigns ranging from senior leaders, teachers and support professionals to duty leisure centre managers, lifeguards and exam invigilators. The postholder will work very closely with the Senior Leadership Team and other managers in developing recruitment materials and schedules and will act as the key contact for candidates, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality candidate experience. They will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement in recruitment and may have the opportunity to lead particular projects to deliver change.


If you are self-motivated and an excellent communicator with an eye for detail and the ability both to plan ahead and to problem-solve flexibly, we'd love to hear from you. Experience working in schools and an understanding of the Safer Recruitment requirements in education is preferred but not essential.
