About The Role
Position -We are seeking an experienced and proactive Recruitment Manager to lead our recruitment function and drive the delivery of a fast-paced, people-focused service. The successful candidate will manage a team of two Recruitment Coordinators, oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, and ensure compliance with Home Office legislation and sponsorship duties. This role is key in supporting our organisation's growth and ensuring we attract, select, and retain high-quality talent
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & People Management Manage, coach, and develop a team of two recruitment staff, ensuring high performance and effective workload management. Provide regular 1:1s, supervision, and support to ensure continuous development and role clarity. Foster a positive, collaborative, and solution-focused team environment.
Recruitment Lifecycle Management Oversee end-to-end recruitment across multiple services, from advertising and shortlisting to onboarding. Ensure a high-quality candidate experience at all stages of the process. Work with hiring managers to forecast staffing needs and develop effective recruitment plans.
Performance & KPIs Set, monitor, and report on recruitment KPIs, including time-to-hire, quality of hire, vacancy fulfilment rates, and candidate pipeline health. Implement strategies to achieve or exceed targets and reduce recruitment bottlenecks. Regularly review processes and systems to ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence.
ATS & Process Improvement Lead on the use, optimisation, and maintenance of the Applicant Tracking System. Monitor and improve ATS workflows to increase efficiency and ensure accurate data entry. Produce recruitment reports, dashboards, and insights using data extracted from the ATS.
Compliance & Home Office Sponsorship Duties- Maintain a strong understanding of Home Office procedures, immigration rules, and right-to-work legislation. Manage and administer the organisation's Sponsor Management System (SMS), ensuring all licence duties are fully met. Oversee the accurate and timely issuing of Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) and ensure full compliance with record-keeping and reporting duties. Conduct internal audits on RTW checks and ensure all recruitment practices meet legal and regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Engagement Provide expert advice to managers and senior leaders on recruitment strategy, labour market trends, and hiring best practices. Build strong relationships with external partners, job boards, agencies, and community organisations to support talent pipelines.
Essential Previous experience in a Recruitment Manager or Senior Recruiter role. Strong knowledge of Home Office legislation, right-to-work checks, and sponsorship (SMS) processes. Experience managing and developing a recruitment team. Proficiency in using and optimising Applicant Tracking Systems. Strong data-driven approach with the ability to interpret recruitment metrics and KPIs. Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise competing demands
Desirable Experience within social care, supported living, or a similar regulated environment.
