When a child cannot attend school due to exclusion, illness, or other exceptional circumstances, they risk falling through the cracks. That's where you come in.

As a section 19 Key Worker within the Education Re-Engagement Team (ERT) - Access & Support Service for Vulnerable Learners, you'll be the steady hand guiding some of our most vulnerable children and young people back to the education and opportunities they deserve. Working directly with schools, families, health professionals and alternative providers, you will ensure every child receives a high-quality, tailored education - no matter their circumstances.

You won't just support statutory entitlement; you will restore hope, ignite potential, and open doors to brighter futures. You will build trusted relationships with young people and families, co-produce personalised education placement plans, co-ordinate wraparound support across education, health, and social care and drive positive transitions back into mainstream settings. The successful candidate will bring empathy, resilience, and a deep belief in second chances and the equity of opportunity for all children, will have experience working with schools and vulnerable children, knowledge of education law and inclusive practice and most of all a collaborative, can do spirit and a desire to make a real change.

For further information please contact Ange Hallam - ERT on 01782 235395

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all our employees and volunteers to share this commitment.
