Referrals and Placements Officer
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Referrals and Placements Officer. As a Referrals and Placements Officer, you will play a crucial role in assisting children looked after by coordinating their placement into appropriate homes. This is an important position that requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping children.
Responsibilities:
- Review referrals for children in need of placement
- Conduct assessments to determine the most suitable home for each child
- Coordinate with social workers, case managers, and other professionals to ensure smooth placement processes
- Maintain accurate records of all referrals and placements
- Collaborate with care facilities to ensure the best possible care for each child
- Provide support and guidance to children and their families throughout the placement process
- Stay up-to-date with relevant policies, regulations, and best practices in child welfare
Skills:
- Experience working with children in a professional capacity
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
