We now have a brand new vacancy for a Refurbishment Technician who will be responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, spraying, and refurbishing medical equipment to meet manufacturer standards and regulatory requirements. This role ensures that all refurbished systems are safe, fully functional, and compliant before being returned to service or sold. The technician plays a vital role in extending the lifecycle of medical technology and supporting healthcare providers with reliable equipment.

Responsibilities



Perform detailed inspections and diagnostics on a variety of medical systems, including imaging and monitoring equipment.

Work collaboratively with engineering, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure timely completion of refurbishment projects.

Disassemble, clean, and reassemble medical equipment according to manufacturer and company standards.

Prepare surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming in preparation for spray painting.

Replace worn or defective parts using hand tools, test equipment, and technical documentation.

Mix, colour match, and apply paint using HVLP or other spray systems.

Document refurbishment processes, including repairs, parts used, and quality checks.

Maintain spray booth and tools in clean, working order.

Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe work environment.

Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., PPE, ventilation, disposal).

Experience/Skills Required



2+ years of experience in panel beating and spray painting.

Experience using fillers, sanders, primers, and modern spray equipment.

Understanding of paint types (basecoat, clear coat, 2K, waterborne, etc.).

An understanding of electronic systems and processes

Excellent IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office tools

Ability to work at pace and under pressure at times to meet deadlines

Strong colour matching and paint blending skills.

Ability to read repair orders and technical instructions.

Manual dexterity and steady hand control for fine finishing tasks.
