Children's Home Manager (EBD)

Location:

Taunton, Somerset

Salary:

Up to 50,000 (+5,000 Welcome Bonus)

Annual Bonus

: 21% of your Annual Salary

OTE: Up to 65,000 In your first year

We're looking for a passionate and committed Registered Manager to lead our home in Taunton. There are currently 3 CYP living there, aged between 8 years old and 17 years old. The home has recently been inspected and received a "Good" report from Ofsted


We're really proud of the support available at Keys Group. Our support teams are there to empower our young people, however, most Managers find their emotional support/training/guidance invaluable to their own role, and their team.

You will have access to support from:

Practitioner Psychologist Therapist Sexual Harmful Behaviour Advisor Exploitation Advisor Specialist Police Advisor Therapeutic Practice Trainer Educational Psychologists.

Your Role as a Registered Manager:

Lead with vision, compassion and integrity, ensuring children receive outstanding care, support and guidance tailored to their individual needs. Be the voice and advocate for both your team and the children, creating a home where safety, respect and aspirations thrive. Empower your team to deliver therapeutic, child-centred care that leads to real, lasting outcomes. Build a home culture that is warm, inclusive, and resilient, where young people feel safe, valued and inspired. Oversee all operational aspects, including safeguarding, care planning, compliance, and team development. Mentor and develop staff, cultivating future leaders through coaching, supervision and training (including QCF Level 3 facilitation). Lead service development, budget management and continuous improvement across all areas of home performance.

Your skills

A minimum of 3 years' experience working within a similar environment at a Senior level. Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young Peoples workforce. Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health and Social Care services (Children and Young Peoples management qualification). Strong knowledge of legislation and safeguarding procedures such as The Children Act 1989, Children's home regulations. Experience of budgets and financial management. Full driving licence is essential. Ability to work flexibly and carry out on-call duties.
