We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operations of the next phase of growth at Harley Street Mental Health at our head office in Altrincham, Manchester.

We're a fast-growing, clinician-led service delivering adult ADHD and wider neurodevelopmental care to both private and NHS patients.

You'll hold day-to-day accountability for safety, quality and patient experience, turning good practice into outstanding, inspection-ready care in line with CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs) for safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led services.

Main Duties



Hold legal accountability as the CQC Registered Manager for regulated activities, keeping the Statement of Purpose and evidence bases current. Lead governance and risk: run clinical governance and risk meetings; maintain the risk register; oversee audits, incidents, complaints and Duty of Candour. Ensure robust safeguarding for adults and children, with clear escalation and multi-agency working. Own information governance and records management; deliver DSPT compliance and accurate, timely MHSDS submissions for NHS activity. Mobilise and optimise ADHD assessment and medication titration pathways across private and NHS contracts, delivering access, safety, experience and outcome KPIs. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care and staff performance. Provide medicines oversight (including controlled drugs) and safe e-prescribing workflows with partner pharmacies. Lead people and culture: safer recruitment, induction, supervision, mandatory training and workforce planning. Partner with commissioners, GPs and system stakeholders; produce performance packs and action plans; manage budgets and key suppliers. Drive continuous improvement using patient feedback, data and QI methods to enhance reliability, equity and efficiency. Ensure the clinic operates in full compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and CQC Fundamental Standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, NICE guidelines, GMC/NMC standards, and NHS contractual requirements (e.g., Right to Choose, ICB contracts). Implement robust systems for clinical governance, risk management, safeguarding (adults and children), infection control, prescribing safety, and incident reporting. Ensure monthly audits (e.g., prescribing, record-keeping, safeguarding, complaints) are completed, reviewed, and acted upon. Oversee compliance with NICE guidance for ADHD and Autism assessment and treatment pathways. Lead on policies, protocols, and regular policy reviews to ensure they remain fit for purpose. Provide effective leadership to clinical and administrative teams, ensuring clear communication of the clinic's vision, values, and standards. Ensure all staff have up-to-date DBS checks, professional registrations, mandatory training, appraisals, and CPD. Support recruitment, induction, supervision, and development of clinicians and administrators. Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional working culture. Act as the safeguarding lead (or designate deputies as appropriate) and ensure staff follow safeguarding protocols. Oversee safe prescribing and medicines management systems, including controlled drug governance where applicable. Ensure effective systems are in place for handling complaints, concerns, incidents, and feedback, with learning shared across the service. Manage day-to-day operations of ADHD and Autism assessments, titration, medication reviews, and follow-up care. Monitor waiting times, patient outcomes, and ensure services meet contractual KPIs (e.g., NHS Right to Choose standards). Oversee information governance, confidentiality, and compliance with UK GDPR and NHS DSP Toolkit requirements. Ensure appropriate resourcing (clinicians, administrators, systems) to deliver safe, high-quality care. Liaise with CQC inspectors, NHS commissioners, GPs, pharmacies, and other stakeholders as required. Represent the clinic in external reviews, inspections, audits, and commissioner meetings. Ensure timely submission of statutory notifications to the CQC. Lead service development initiatives, expanding services responsibly in line with demand and clinical standards. Keep up to date with best practice in neurodevelopmental care and ensure innovation is considered.

Qualifications



Desirable Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Health/Social Care (or equivalent) Essential: Mental Health Nursing Background Proven experience as a Registered Manager or deputy in a CQC-regulated setting (e.g., clinic, hospital, or community service), with successful inspection outcomes. Background in nursing or senior care is essential; additional experience in service development, and ADHD desirable Strong leadership skills with a track record of effective team management and supervision. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff. In-depth knowledge of ADHD, Autism, and other neurodevelopmental conditions, including diagnostic criteria (DSM-5/ICD-11), treatment modalities, and health inequalities.
