Burdon Grange is a specialist care home in Devon, providing long-term and respite care for adults with physical disabilities, and specialising in acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions.

Role Overview
As Registered Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of Burdon Grange, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and staff development. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, nurturing environment where residents thrive and staff feel valued. Working closely with the wider multi-disciplinary teams associated with the complex needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strong leadership and management
Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and all relevant legislation
Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
Attend reviews and care-planning meetings.
Manage staffing levels, and resources effectively
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and person-centred care
Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external professionals
Lead inspections and audits, ensuring readiness and responsiveness
Promote staff training, wellbeing, and professional development
What We're Looking For
Essential:
NMC Registered Nurse
Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care willing to work towards level 7
Proven experience in a managerial role within a care setting
In-depth knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
A clear understanding of safeguarding practices, particularly in relation to adults with acquired brain injuries and complex physical needs
Experience of working with vulnerable client groups, ideally within a neurological environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rota as needed
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
A compassionate, resident-focused approach
An inspirational leader passionate about innovation and continuous improvement
Great sense of humour
Full UK Driving license
Desirable:
Experience working with adults with physical disabilities
A proactive attitude towards innovation and service development
Experience of working with vulnerable client groups
