Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's home Registered Manager to become part of this well established and reputable service. You will be a key player in this project, both respected and listened to. You will have help from our consultancy of experienced Responsible Individuals and operations managers but we are looking for an experienced registered children's home manager who could grow into a more senior role in the future.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leadership for children's residential homes, with expertise in Ofsted ratings, risk management, trauma informed and therapeutic approaches, supporting self harm, CSE and emotional regulation, building independence skills and helping children access education and work opportunities medication administration, care plans, and supervising staff. This role is pivotal in maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for each child and staff member.

Duties



Oversee the daily operations of your home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices aligning with Ofsted expectations of Good and Outstanding homes. Develop, implement, and review individualised placement, health and risk management plans tailored to the needs of each child. Support each child's health and hold a health plan for each child to promote health outcomes. Supervise and support staff members, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills in delivering quality care. Ensure safeguarding and the SOP permeate the whole culture of the home and staff are confident and effective in safeguarding all. Foster a positive culture and safe environment that promotes the well-being and safety of all children. Use therapeutic approaches effectively. Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive support services. Conduct regular assessments of young people's needs and adjust plans accordingly. Maintain accurate documentation related to children's care and staff performance. Lead on compliance for all legislative matters including OFSTED expectations Health and safety audits and ensuring high standards of maintenance Training matrix and supervision matrix kept accurate and staff skills up to date. Promote positive outcomes for children and measure outcomes Undertake monthly audits of the service and act on areas of need to improve Work closely with our partners local authorities charities, community projects Excellent team player - an authentic, supportive leader able to work well with all staff within the company Able to be onsite and supporting children to have a voice and give feedback Able to complete regulatory reports to a good standard Excellent safeguarding knowledge, skills and ability to promote effective systems all feel confident to follow to act on issues and prevent them arising for children and staff Excellent matching and referral skills - able to make child focussed decisions and evidence decision making Good budget management Promote the company goals and values inspire a positive culture for all

Experience



Proven experience in a leadership role within a children's residential care- Ideally a registered manager with a Good Ofsted rating or above. Strong senior staff or Deputy looking to step up considered. Strong knowledge of OFSTED regulatory standards governing children's support care. Level 5 Leadership and management Children and young people or working towards Experience in developing and implementing effective data systems so all records are meticulous Excellent staff support mentoring and training skills Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering teamwork and collaboration. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with young people families, professionals and team members.

Pay: 45,000.00-60,000.00 per year
