We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Children's Manager to oversee the care and wellbeing of children in our home. This role is crucial in ensuring that all care plans are effectively implemented and that the highest standards of care are maintained. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing care services, particularly in environments such as nursing homes or care homes, and will be adept at working with children who may have complex needs.
Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the children's care unit, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to each child's specific needs.
Provide leadership and support to staff members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Oversee medication administration and ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care for each child.
Monitor the quality of care provided, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
Conduct regular training sessions for staff on best practices in dementia care and senior care principles as they relate to children with special needs.
Experience
Proven experience in a managerial role within a healthcare setting, preferably in children's services or related fields.
Strong knowledge of dementia care, senior care practices, and the specific needs of children requiring specialised support.
Familiarity with creating and managing care plans effectively.
Previous experience working in nursing homes or home care settings is advantageous.
A valid nursing qualification is preferred but not essential; however, an understanding of medication administration is required.
