We are working on behalf of a well established provider for a
Registered Manager
of a small, 3-bedded Ofsted-registered children's home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Rated
GOOD
, the home provides a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children are supported to grow, heal, and thrive.
This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced
Deputy Manager
or
Senior Residential Practitioner
who is ready to step up and progress into a Registered Manager role, with full guidance and mentorship from an established leadership team.
What You'll Be Doing
Support the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high-quality care is delivered.
Assist with safeguarding, compliance, and Ofsted quality standards.
Mentor and develop staff, contributing to a positive and professional team culture.
Build strong, positive relationships with young people, families, and external professionals.
Participate in audits, care planning, and service improvement.
Promote a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment where young people feel safe and supported.
Gradually take on more leadership responsibilities in preparation for Ofsted registration.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years' experience in children's residential care.
Experience in a Deputy Manager or Senior Practitioner role (preferred).
Working towards, or willing to enrol on, the
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
.
Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of children's legislation.
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership potential.
Genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs.
A full UK driving licence.
