launch of a brand-new 4-bed EBD home
in Chadwell Heath. Building something meaningful from the ground up, with an ethos of therapeutic care, high-quality support, and a commitment to nurturing positive futures for every child.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a
Registered Manager
to lead a new children's residential home, opening soon and currently in the Ofsted registration phase (expected within 3-4 months).
This is a rare and rewarding opportunity to help
shape and establish a new home
, embed a therapeutic culture from day one, and lead a team dedicated to delivering excellent care and support for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Key Responsibilities
Set up and oversee the day-to-day operations of a new residential home for children aged 8-17
Provide
visionary leadership
and model a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach
Ensure the home operates in full compliance with
Children's Homes Regulations 2015
and Quality Standards
Recruit, train, and develop a committed staff team
Implement robust safeguarding practices and ensure all care planning reflects the needs of each individual child
Develop and maintain effective partnerships with local authorities, families, and professionals
Maintain detailed, compliant documentation and contribute to achieving high Ofsted ratings
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience
as a Registered Manager or in a senior leadership role within a children's residential setting
Experience or understanding of setting up a new residential home (including Ofsted documentation)
Hold a
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management
(or working towards)
Hold a
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
(or equivalent)
Must be a
driver
with a valid UK driving licence
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, compliance, and therapeutic practice
Able to work flexibly and be available for
on-call and emergency duties
