About Us:



Steps Support Residential are opening a brand new children's home dedicated to providing exceptional care and support for young people. With a focus on building positive futures, we are committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment for the young people in our care. Our home will cater for just two young people, allowing for tailored care and individual attention, and we are looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead this exciting new venture.

The Role:


As the Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our home, ensuring that the young people entrusted to our care receive the highest standards of support. You will lead a small, committed team, driving both the operational and strategic direction of the home, and ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and children's safeguarding protocols.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leading, mentoring, and managing a small team to provide high-quality care. Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for young people, supporting their individual needs. Overseeing the day to day operations, including staffing, budgeting, and risk management. Maintaining and improving policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. Building strong relationships with young people, families, and external stakeholders. Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

About You:


We are looking for a Registered Manager with:

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior leadership role within children's residential care. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). A strong understanding of Ofsted requirements, child safeguarding, and regulatory standards. A passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve positive outcomes. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. A commitment to creating a positive, child-centred environment.
