We are hiring on behalf of a valued client who provides safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environments where children and young people can heal, grow, and thrive. Their homes are rooted in compassion, respect, and structure -- giving young people the stability they need to build resilience and brighter futures.

They are now seeking a dedicated

Registered Manager

to lead one of their residential children's homes. This is a pivotal role for someone passionate about delivering consistent, child-centred care and shaping a team around therapeutic values. A great opportunity for a step up deputy manager with the right experience and skills.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading and inspiring your team to deliver consistent, high-quality care in line with trauma-informed practice and child-centred values. Ensuring the home fully meets the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards. Maintaining a strong safeguarding culture: overseeing incidents, risk assessments, and embedding learning into daily practice. Developing personalised care plans that reflect the individual needs of each child. Building strong relationships with children, families, local authorities, and external professionals. Creating a warm, structured, and safe home environment where young people can thrive. Overseeing quality assurance, staff supervision, reflective practice, and professional development. Managing the operational running of the home, including budgets, compliance, and organisational standards.
What You'll Bring

Essential:



Proven leadership experience in children's residential care (as Registered Manager or Deputy). Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and Ofsted regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and supervision skills. Ability to create a safe, nurturing, and consistent environment for young people.

Desirable:



Experience working with children with EBD and/or complex trauma. Experience in improving or developing children's homes. Knowledge of partnership work with education, health, and therapeutic services.
