Registered Manager
to lead our brand-new, purpose-built
solo provision
--nestled in the calm and healing surroundings of the Cambridgeshire countryside. This isn't just a management position. It's a chance to shape a home, a culture, and most importantly, a child's future.
A Home Where One Child is Everything
Our solo home is intentionally designed to wrap around one young person at a time--meeting their unique emotional, behavioural, and psychological needs with warmth, structure, and skilled support. With a 3:1 staffing ratio, every interaction is a chance to connect, guide, and heal.
As Registered Manager, you'll take full operational leadership of the home, setting the tone for everything from care standards and safeguarding, to staff development and emotional climate. You'll lead by example--placing the child's safety, voice, and potential at the centre of each decision made.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead with presence and purpose
- Guide and support your 3:1 care team with compassion, clarity, and consistency
Champion the child's voice
- Act as a powerful advocate for their rights, needs, and dreams
Build a team that cares deeply
- Support staff to step fully into their role as corporate parents--offering love, safety, and boundaries
Embed Trauma-Informed Practice
- Use curiosity, acceptance, and empathy to understand and respond to complex behaviours
Create and maintain a safe, nurturing home
- One that reflects the highest standards of care, regulation, and comfort
Be hands-on and heart-led
- Join in daily life, attend appointments, and create meaningful experiences alongside the child
Foster professional collaboration
- Work closely with local authorities, schools, CAMHS, and families to build a circle of support
Navigate crisis with care
- Offer grounded leadership through challenges, using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and deep emotional insight
Prepare for excellence
- Ensure the home exceeds expectations during inspections and Regulation 44 visits

What We're Looking For
Level 5 Diploma
in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
At least
2 years' experience
in a senior role within a children's residential setting
A strong track record of supporting young people with
complex emotional and behavioural needs
Deep knowledge of
trauma-informed care
and experience in solo or specialist settings
Excellent leadership, safeguarding, and team development skills
Resilience, warmth, and a reflective mindset
A full UK driving licence
