As a Registered Manager with us, you will safely and efficiently lead a team caring for four looked-after children in a semi-rural Residential Home close to our Head Office in Crewe, Cheshire. You will work an average of 40 hours per week over five working days; Homes for Support will provide flexibility to identify how you work best.

You will be responsible for maintaining a warm and caring environment that encourages self-respect, individuality and independence of the children ages 7-18 years in your care.

Sound leadership of all individuals within your team is essential to enable them to carry out their roles and responsibilities in line with our Safeguarding policies and beliefs. Your team will include a Deputy Care Manager, Team Leader(s) and Residential Children Workers.

You will report to the Responsible Individual and Senior Manager (who has two other Residential Homes nearby). You will receive support from our Safeguarding Officer and Managing Director, an in-house Maintenance Team, a Finance Manager, a Human Resources Team and a third-party psychology team.

  • Competitive pay ranging from \xc2\xa340,000.00 pending internal pay review (ongoing)

Requirements:
  • Full driving licence
  • Previous work experience with a Children\'s Home setting with Young People (at least three years)
  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) (RQF) qualified
  • Demonstrable experience in leading a team in Residential Childcare (minimum two years)
  • Proven experience of OFSTED Inspections and the regulatory regime with an understanding of the Children\'s Homes Regulations 2015
  • If you are not yet qualified in the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) (RQF), you must demonstrate an ability and willingness to obtain the regulatory required qualification (equivalent to a foundation degree) - Homes for Support will fully fund and support your learning toward the qualification

Our services include Therapeutic Children\'s Homes, Supported Living accommodation and Community Outreach work. Our work focuses on Children and Young People with emotional and behavioural difficulties and learning difficulties, vulnerable families and unaccompanied asylum seeker children.
