Job Description

New 4 bedded children's home dedicated to offering a therapeutic, nurturing, supportive environment where young individuals can thrive and achieve their full potential. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to oversee and lead our children's home to meet and exceed statutory requirements.

Role Overview:



As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, leadership, and direction of the children's home, ensuring a high standard of care and support for all residents. Your role includes the maintenance of statutory and regulatory compliance, as outlined by Ofsted, and the development of an enriching and safe home environment for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:



- Lead and manage the operational delivery of the children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently implemented.

- Ensure all statutory requirements and regulations set out by Ofsted and other statutory bodies are met.

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote the welfare and safety of children and young people.

- Manage and supervise a team of dedicated care staff, providing guidance, training, and performance supervision and appraisals.

- Prepare for and manage inspections from regulatory bodies, ensuring the home is fully compliant and have aspirational goals that continually improves its inspection rating or maintains an outstanding outcome when achieved.

- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with local authorities, families, and external agencies.

- Oversee the financial management of the home, including budget setting and monitoring.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging staff and residents to contribute to the development of the home's objectives and services.

Skills and Qualifications:



- Must hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

- Proven experience as a manager (or deputy manager) in a residential children's home setting.- Comprehensive knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and the Guide to the Children's Homes Regulations including the Quality Standards.

- Demonstrable leadership and management capabilities with a strong ability to motivate and lead a team.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, staff, and stakeholders.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being and welfare of children.
