The Gables Residential Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our well-established, 20-bed residential care home in Hanham, Bristol.

This exciting opportunity has arisen due to the retirement of our long-standing Registered Manager. We are looking for someone who will continue our tradition of providing high-quality, person-centred care in a warm and welcoming environment.

This role would suit an experienced Deputy Manager or Senior Supervisor seeking career progression or an existing Registered Manager looking for a supportive, community-focused setting.

Your Responsibilities



Manage the day-to-day running of the home in accordance with CQC standards and regulations.

Lead, motivate, and develop the staff team to deliver outstanding care.

Ensure compliance with all care, safety, and safeguarding requirements.

Oversee budgets, staffing, audits, training and occupancy to ensure operational excellence.

Foster a positive culture focused on dignity, respect, and resident wellbeing.

Maintain strong relationships with residents, relatives, and external professionals.

About You



Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards it).

Experience as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager in a care home setting.

Sound understanding of CQC standards and best practice in elderly care.

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

A genuine passion for person-centred care and continuous improvement.
