Job Description

The Registered Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning and development aspects and functionsof the service. S/he will bring creative ideas and lead a culture of continuous development and high aspirations for the company.

This includes:

Ensuring the delivery of high quality, effective and safe support services to young people. o Growing IOMI's business operations, ensuring that placement and staff recruitment targets are met.
Role

To support the aims and objectives of the service ensuring best outcomes for young people. To coordinate and lead the staff team ensuring that service delivery is of a high standard. To ensure that young people placed at IOMI are protected and their welfare is of paramount importance by supervising caseloads effectively. To provide quality assurance of the service and ensure service users are provided a safe and nurturing environment to live in. To act as designated safeguarding officer promoting the safeguarding of young people from harm and abuse. To support IOMI staff team and consultants to deliver a service to the standards set by regulations and the company's policies & procedures To monitor the overall performance of the staff team. To ensure that IOMI works in a non-discriminatory manner in providing a service that meets the diverse needs of its service users. To develop the service through tendering, accepting spot purchases and developing bespoke support services for service users with complex needs as required. To maintain the confidentiality of organisational information in relation to service users, and staff.
Responsibilities

To be responsible for the day to day running of the service ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. To coordinate staff to provide a high level of support to the young people ensuring that their individual needs are met, and they gain the required skill set for independent living and achieve positive outcomes. To ensure that risk assessments and support plans are completed for each young person in accordance with their Pathway Plan and placed on their file. To monitor young people and their progress through monthly monitoring checks. To ensure the participation of the young people in the development of the service through young people consultation and meetings. To liaise closely with relevant agencies and professionals in ensuring a high standard of service delivery to service users. To obtain feedback from service users and relevant stakeholders about the support and service provided to them. Assess young people's readiness to live independently, ensuring planning and support for move-on accommodation is in place. Ensure the monthly reports are completed to a high standard and sent out in a timely manner. To ensure weekly fire alarm, health and safety and maintenance checks are undertaken by relevant staff To complete the monthly rota for support staff ensuring all shifts are covered. To ensure maintenance and repairs are actioned in a timely manner. To ensure a caring, safe, supportive, and nurturing environment that meets the developmental needs of the service users through weekly checks on the residence and young people. To ensure all paperwork is up to date and policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines are being followed by staff To liaise with the Service Director regarding any concernsabout the young people or the service. To investigate complaints and carry out disciplinary action in accordance with IOMI's disciplinary procedures. To carry management audits and deliver quarterly management reports as required. To act as Designated Safeguarding Officer and apply safeguarding measures ensuring that they are integrated into the service as standard practice. To develop relationships with other professionals and outside agencies and actively work in partnership to ensure young people achieve planned outcomes. To attend review meetings and other decision-making forums concerning service users. To arrange and chair monthly team meetings with the staff team and to chair the meetings. To report any concerns or issues, ensuring that information sharing, and data protection policies and procedures are followed. To recruit staff as required by the service. To promote equality and diversity within the service. To develop specialist knowledge as required by the needs of service. To ensure compliance with regulation and liaise with regulatory bodies as required. To have flexibility to work outside of contracted hours/days or job description in order to respond to situations that arise or as required by the service. To carry out and complete any other tasks needed for the successful operation of the service.

Other Requirements and Skills

o?In-depth experience of working within a supported living service in a leadership role.

o?Detailed and working knowledge of relevant legislation including safeguarding, and mental health.

o?Strong staff management and leadership capability.

o?Demonstrating the highest level of integrity in day-to-day operations and decision making.

o?Strong communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels.

o?Good organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and prioritise activities.

o?Ability to use own initiative and promote collaboration.

o?High level of literacy, numeracy and computer skills.

Qualifications and Experience

o?Qualified to degree level

At least three years' experience of working within a supported living setting.
o?At least one years' experience of managing staff in a similar setting

oNVQ Level 5 Management in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent

Must have a valid driving licence and be willing to travel to various locations.



Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-40,000.00 per year
