About the role



As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for providing quality care and support services for people with Mental Health and their family members/carers. You will ensure compliance with CQC standards and key lines of enquiry and be accountable for key performance indicators related to the quality, compliance, and viability of services in the locality.


The qualities required of the post holder are numerous and include excellent leadership and communication skills together with an understanding of changing emotional and physical needs. You will undertake staff supervision and identify own/others development needs, whilst managing change and people. The service provides holistic care and support to customers to rehabilitate into the local community.


At Lonsdale House, we provide short term accommodation for adults.


We welcome people discharged from hospital (known as step down provision) and also support people with accommodation to avoid hospital admission (also known as step up provision).


In addition to this, we also offer crisis accommodation for periods of up to 7 days and rehabilitation accommodation for a period of up to 2 years. Our crisis beds, where people stay for a maximum of seven days, are provided to people with a primary diagnosis of ill mental health as an alternative to hospital admission. We reduce disruption to people`s lives by providing care in our residential home until the crisis is resolved.


Successful candidates will need to be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the above areas.

About you



Provide quality care and support services for people with Mental Health and their family members/carers. Ensure compliance with CQC standards and key lines of enquiry. Be accountable for key performance indicators related to the quality, compliance, and viability of services. Develop a culture of strong customer focus that demonstrates a personalized approach to individuals needs and aspirations. Deliver strong financial performance for the service to enable GreenSquareAccord to achieve commercial and social objectives. Utilize tools to manage financial spend and occupancy effectively. Work with the Head of Service to develop the service model to meet changing customer needs, commissioning intentions, and the financial and contracting landscape. Participate in projects within the locality and the wider C&S department to support business delivery as identified by the Head of Service and SMG. Be based in an office within the locality area, with travel required across the whole locality area and wider regional geography covered by GreenSquareAccord. Occasionally attend events outside of the region. Hold a full driving license (or ability to travel), business insurance, and enhanced DBS disclosure. Work unsociable hours, including evenings or occasional weekends, to meet business needs. Participate in the out-of-hours rota as required.

Role Requirements:


Professional Social or Health Care Qualification equivalent to QCF level 4 and above. Knowledge and experience of supporting people with Mental Health and associated conditions. Experience managing services to high quality and performance standards. Experience managing care services with a combination of both LA and CHC funding. Experience managing and leading teams. Experience in budgetary management and analysing financial performance. Understanding of regulatory best practice direction in health and social care. Proficient in business use of MS Teams software. Understanding of current public sector commissioning strategies/processes and key drivers for change.
