: Registered Manager (RGN/RMN)



1. Job Purpose



We are seeking a dedicated and experienced

Registered Manager (RGN or RMN)

to provide strong, inspirational leadership and assume full responsibility for the operational management and clinical governance of the service. The successful candidate will be the

Registered Individual with the Care Quality Commission (CQC)

, ensuring compliance and achieving a rating of 'Good' or 'Outstanding'. You will lead the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care for residents.

2. Key Responsibilities



A. Leadership & Service Delivery



Provide values-driven leadership, fostering a positive, person-centred culture. Act as the Registered Manager with the CQC, ensuring ongoing compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008. Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient delivery of residential, nursing, and dementia care. Manage budgets, staffing, and operational resources effectively.

B. Clinical Governance & Quality Assurance



Maintain robust systems for safeguarding, medication management, and infection control. Lead assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualised care. Ensure high standards for residents with complex physical or mental health needs. Drive continuous improvement through audits, reviews, and quality initiatives. Keep all policies and procedures current and integrated into daily practice.

C. People Management



Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce. Provide clinical supervision and professional development opportunities. Manage staffing rotas to maintain safe and appropriate levels of care.

D. Person-Centred Care



Promote a person-centred approach where individualised care plans are regularly reviewed. Uphold residents' dignity, independence, and choice. Foster strong, supportive relationships with residents and families.

3. Person Specification



Essential Qualifications & Experience



Qualified Nurse (RGN or RMN) with active NMC registration. Proven experience as a Registered Manager or senior leadership role in a care home setting. Sound understanding of CQC regulations and Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs). Demonstrable experience managing services for older people and individuals with dementia. Track record of improving service quality and achieving positive regulatory outcomes. Hold or be willing to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care.
