Our newly opened 5 Bedroom Children's Home in Bradford (West Yorkshire), is seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Home Manager who holds a Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the home with enthusiasm and a hands-on approach, applying your in-depth knowledge and skills from your Level 5 qualifications. Must be OFSTED registered or experienced to get the company through OFSTED registration.
Residential Care:
Ensure the well-being and safety of young people within the home, providing guidance, support, and mentorship during the daytime hours, with a profound understanding of best practices in health and social care.
Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain and monitor compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the care sector, turning regulatory requirements into opportunities for innovation and excitement, leveraging your leadership and management expertise.
Staff Development:
Lead, train, and support a team of dedicated care professionals, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone's ideas and contributions are valued, drawing from your leadership and management qualifications.
Financial Management:
Manage the budget for the home and explore creative ways to enhance the quality of care and services, with your comprehensive understanding of leadership and management principles.
Communication:
Establish and maintain effective communication channels with young people, their families, staff, and external stakeholders, bringing a personal touch and excitement to the interactions, guided by your extensive knowledge in health and social care leadership.
Quality Assurance:
Continuously strive for excellence in care provision, implementing exciting quality assurance processes and improvement initiatives that keep the young people engaged and motivated, driven by your level 5 expertise.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Level 5 Qualification:
A Level 5 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent is required.
Experience:
At least 2 years of proven experience in a leadership role within a residential care setting, ideally with LD and EBD children's home, with a hands-on and exciting approach.
Strong Communication:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with young people, their families, and professionals during standard working hours, bringing enthusiasm to every conversation.
Team Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of care professionals within a Monday to Friday, 9-5 schedule, with a flair for making the job exciting.
Regulatory Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of the children's home regulations 2015 and standards governing residential care for young people, with a knack for turning compliance into an exciting venture.
Passion:
A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential and overcome challenges, bringing an infectious enthusiasm to the role.
