We are seeking a Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Saffron Walden charity shop. With your existing knowledge in retail, you will support the team to maximise donations and drive sales to meet and exceed our targets. Managing our small and friendly team of staff and volunteers you will ensure we provide an exceptional shopping experience to customers whilst promoting the amazing work we do as a charity.
Some of the key duties include;
managing day-to-day operations to ensure the shop is fully covered at all times
maximising opportunities to generate shop income to meet and exceed targets
manage, control and reconciling of cash takings and stock
creating attractive displays with donated items whilst ensuring the shop floor adheres to Health and Safety regulations at all times.
About you
We are looking for an organised, creative individual with good working knowledge of pricing donated items, rotating stock and increasing turnover. The successful candidate will also have excellent effective communication skills and a professional approach when liaising with colleagues, volunteers and members of the public.
