Are you an NMC Registered Nurse (minimum Band 5) living within commutable distance of Castle Hill Hospital, Cottingham, Hull and Grimsby Hospital with proven Intramuscular Injection experience and Phlebotomy skills?

The Role:

This position will involve working alongside the Specialist Infectious Diseases Team.

You will be administering specialist gluteal intramuscular injections and obtaining blood samples from patients who have been prescribed Vocabria and Rekambys for the treatment of HIV, in a dedicated and discrete clinic.

You will see 4 to 5 patients per clinic - having time to engage meaningfully with each individual, understanding their condition, listening to their concerns, and treating them with respect and compassion.

Full training will be given. Experience or an interest in sexual health/HIV is desirable but not essential.

Your Availability :

You will be required to run two half day clinics :

1 x Wednesday afternoon (Grimsby Hospital) - every 2 months
1 x Friday morning (Castle Hill Hospital, Cottingham) - every 2 months

About You:

Experienced Registered Nurse (minimum Band 5)
Recent and proven experience of administering intramuscular injections
Demonstrable experience of recent phlebotomy skills
Current full UK Driving licence with no more than 6 points and an ability to travel to Castle Hill Hospital & Grimsby Hospital
