Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse. This is a permanent position as patient demand is such that we are now offering the opportunity to join our established and growing team of Nurses & HCAs headed up by our Nurse Manager. We are looking for 2-3 days pw, up to 27hrs pw.

Main duties of the job

Essential skills:

RN qualification

active NMC pin

good organisational and communication skills

a desire for continued professional development

Good IT skills

Desirable skills:

Previous primary care experience to include:

o chronic disease management,

o wound care,

o doppler and leg ulcer management using compression therapies,

o childhood vaccinations,

o cervical cytology,

o family planning,

o health promotion,

o phlebotomy.

SystmOne experience or understanding, although training will be given.

We would consider RN's wishing to move into primary care and full training would be given to the successful candidate.

We would also be interested in hearing from Nurse Prescribers who have chronic disease management experience.

Salary: Starting 18.00 to 22.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Hours: Part-time hours, days to be agreed, with one working day definitely to be a Monday or Friday, or both. You will also be required to work our Enhanced Access sessions on a rota basis across a three week period - this can be discussed

The Practice operates from 2 sites in the Harrogate area and the applicant must be able to work from both sites.
