. It's about showing up for a child with autism who faces daily challenges medical, emotional, and behavioural and who depends on you for safety, stability, and trust. The child needs their nurses to travel with them to school and back, and be at home with them if ill. Are YOU that nurse? That nurse they deserve? The shift pattern will be tailored around the child and around the nurses team to work together so they can have work life balance. You must be able to do both day or night shift if required.

before accepting another contract. Someone who knows that leaving without care is not just a transition, it's a safeguarding risk. Have you worked with challenging behaviour in children and young adults? Do you have experience supporting individuals who engage in high-risk behaviours such as pulling invasive medical tubes or tracheostomies? Are you caring enough not to leave the child without care?
We are looking for skilled and compassionate Nurses to join our specialist team. This role involves working closely with children and young adults who present complex behavioural and medical needs, using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and safe, non-destructive methods to reduce behaviours and minimise risk.
Support a child who may attempt to remove medical devices (e.g., tracheostomy tubes, feeding tubes)

Implement PBS strategies to understand and reduce challenging behaviour
Use safe, ethical interventions to protect wellbeing and dignity
Promote communication, emotional regulation, and independence
Work collaboratively with families, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams
Provide consistent care during the transition from hospital to residential setting
Support the residential team until they can fully meet the child's needs independently
Participate in regular reviews to adjust and eventually phase out additional support
Essential Requirements:
Paediatric nursing experience
, including tracheostomy management
Relevant training and competencies in complex medical care
Experience in behavioural management and PBS
Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities under
Section 20 care arrangements
Commitment to consistency and ethical care putting the child's needs first

Suction
Nebulisers
Vital sign management
Medication management
Behaviour support ( if not you need training which we can sign post)
Frequency of Tube changes to facilitate
training (If Applicable). Every 2 weeks
-Tasks to be undertaken during support times
Airway management Medication administration oral/nebulised ADL's PBS plan for behaviour support
