Registered Veterinary Nurse - Maes Glas Vets, Barry, South Wales

We are looking for an enthusiastic RVN to join our lovely Barry team.

Our Practice and Ethos:

Alongside our Barry practice we have our main hospital in Bridgend, and three other branches across South Wales. We remain committed to excellent clinical care and extremely high standards. We have achieved Gold Level Cat Friendly Status from the ISFM and five separate "outstanding "RCVS awards. We are also a nurse training practice and have several certificate holders within our nursing and vet team.

The Role:

This is a full-time role solely to cover our Barry branch, with the option to rotate to work 1 in 6 weeks in our main hospital.

It can either be a 5 day week or a 4 and a half day week. No weekend work but you may occasionally be required to cover a Bank holiday day in our hospital.

Offering plenty of variety responsibilities include:

running nurse clinics

theatre practice

lab duties

ordering/stock control

answering client queries via email/phone

dispensing medication

patient care

day to day upkeep of the practice, administration work

The Team

Our Barry branch has a diverse, social and enthusiastic team consisting of 1x RVN, 1x SVN, 1-2 x Vets and 2x ACA and admin colleagues working closely together and improving the lives of pets.

The thriving town of Barry offers plenty to see and do in your downtime with restaurants, shops, and waterfront views. It boasts beautiful beaches and scenic coastal walks. Situated less than half an hour drive from Cardiff and with great public transport links you can also explore all that the capital has to offer.

Salary up to 32,000 (depending on hours and experience)
