PDSA is a special organisation that provides expert veterinary care for people across the UK who otherwise would not be able to afford to treat their pets. What we do really matters!
Our approach is unique as we combine pragmatism with a strong client care focus to deliver good clinical outcomes - we focus on measuring our impact rather than targets.
Your wellbeing at work is critical and we work hard to provide a supportive and engaging environment. You will have access to all the expert advice and resources you need to set you up for success in your new role.
About You
We're looking for qualified Veterinary Nurses who are adaptable and eager to make a difference. At PDSA, you'll be part of a supportive team, caring for a wide variety of cases that will develop your skills and keep every day rewarding.
Confidence in communicating with colleagues and clients is essential, and you'll also have the chance to share your skills with others in a collaborative way. Your role will include consultations, in-patient care, dispensing medications, and assisting in theatre including schedule 3 surgery.
We know that a good work-life balance is just as important as the work itself. That's why we offer flexible options and a supportive team culture, so you can thrive while helping us deliver an outstanding service.
About the Hospital
Our veterinary teams usually have quite varied clinical interests which means you have access to a wide pool of knowledge and experience with which to discuss cases and treatment plans. Our Pet Hospitals are modern and well-equipped and generally include separate dog and cat kennelling facilities, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases and extensive orthopaedic equipment. The size of our teams allows for a flexible approach to weekend rotas and any out of hours required, with enhanced pay and stand down time in the week when a weekend is worked.

We are really passionate about being a great place to work, where people feel connected with what we do and where they feel they can make a genuine difference. This commitment has resulted in us being rated as one of the top 25 big organisations to work for in the UK according to Best Companies survey.
In addition to being a great place to work, we offer a wide range of benefits, including:
