We are looking for a motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Lida Vets in Newmarket.


This role offers the opportunity to work across inpatients, theatre, and consultations, giving you exposure to a varied and rewarding caseload of small animal work. Our rota has been designed to balance clinical challenge with work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities



Rotating between inpatient care, theatre, and nurse consultations Monitoring anaesthesia and providing peri-operative care Supporting veterinary surgeons with a wide variety of cases Ensuring compliance with practice standards, SOPs, and health & safety Participating in stock control, lab sample processing, and equipment maintenance Helping to deliver excellent client and patient care as part of a cohesive team

Lida Vets is an RCVS-accredited, first opinion small animal practice located in the heart of Newmarket. Recently refurbished, our practice is proud to be accredited as a Dog Friendly Clinic via Dogs Trust and holds ISFM Silver Cat Friendly Status.

Working Hours & Rota



40 hours per week (shifts include 7am-1pm, 7:30am-4:30pm, 9:30am-6:30pm, and 12pm-9pm with a 30-minute lunch break) Participation in the 1:6 weekend rota

No out-of-hours or night shifts
