We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team of 4 existing RVNs. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, providing high-quality support to veterinarians and ensuring the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures.
Prepare and maintain the surgical environment, including sterilising instruments and monitoring anaesthesia.
Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, ensuring accurate results for diagnosis.
Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
Provide nursing care to hospitalised patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering treatments.
Educate pet owners on post-operative care, nutrition, and general animal health.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Assist in the management of inventory, including ordering supplies as needed.
Experience
Previous experience as a Veterinary Nurse is essential.
A qualification as a Registered Veterinary Nurse is essential.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is crucial for success in this role.
