Hours:

42-hour week (8am-4:30pm/9:30am-6pm/12pm-8:30pm) 1 in 4 Saturdays and 1 in 9 Sundays


Salary:

Up to 31,000 depending on experience


Your role and responsibilities




You will get the opportunity to:

Care and work-up complex and interesting cases Work alongside an established, welcoming team of experienced vets with a range of clinical interests Assume responsibility for surgical and medical cases Act as a positive proponent of the practice to staff and clients Contribute to the practice policies and procedures Assist and encourage other staff and train as indicated.

Main purpose & goals:



Ensure the highest standard of care is provided 100% of the time to 100% of our patients. Maintain accurate client and patient records. Provide an efficient, courteous, and helpful service to all clients, suppliers and external contacts, under all conditions at all times. Participate with the admission and discharge process of patients, the accuracy of which is of vital importance. To demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development. Liaise between the nursing team and other teams within the practice to ensure effective lines of communication at all times. Promote our services, employees and products, both in and out of the practice at all times. Understand and implement practice and group policies. Take an active role in the training programme of veterinary nurses and animal care/ kennel assistants.

Participate in relevant CPD appropriate to your role plus any training in-house, ensuring post training feedback forms are completed and where appropriate information is shared with team members. Person specification Health & safety

Specification Essential Desirable Experience:



A minimum of 1 year's post RVN registration Experience of leading a team Mentoring experience Knowledge RCVS Code of Conduct Confident in the use of IT packages, email and online internet browsers RVN Qualifications RVN Skills & abilities Excellent listening and communication skills Team player Highly organised with the ability to multitask, plan and prioritise effectively in accordance with business needs Proactive and well organised with an eye for detail Ability to manage projects through to completion, meeting deadlines and targets Remains calm under pressure Problem solving Innovative and forward thinking Mentoring qualification Other qualities Ability to make decisions that benefit the whole team not individuals.
