Job Description

Join our friendly two-vet practice in Stansted Abbotts as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, supported by an experienced Branch Partner, HVN, RVN, two VCAs, an SVN and a CCA.


We're a well-equipped, community-focused clinic with excellent facilities including ultrasound, endoscopy, digital X-ray, in-house lab, tonometry and a corneal burr.


We offer a 4-day week, 9.5-hour shifts (08:30-18:30 / 09:30-19:30), a fixed weekday off, and 1 in 6 weekends at our Enfield 24 hospital. The role provides varied caseloads, strong diagnostic opportunities, and great support from a skilled, welcoming team.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients. Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity. Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities. Deliver patient monitoring and care. Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team. Dispense and check medication. Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards. Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care. Experienced in working effectively as part of a team. Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
