What you'll be doing
As a Professional Registration Assessment Executive, you'll play a vital role in supporting the IET's mission to grow professional registrations and Fellowship by delivering efficient, accurate, and high-quality application processing. You'll be applying your sound judgement and attention to detail to ensure compliance with the Engineering Council Licence and Fellowship criteria, helping candidates progress through their professional journey with confidence.
This role strikes a great balance between independent responsibility and collaborative teamwork. You'll play a key role in the professional registration and Fellowship journey, from guiding applications through complex regulatory frameworks and coordinating assessment panels through to building strong relationships with applicants, members, and volunteer assessors. Furthermore, you will also be involved in organising interviews and supporting panels, both virtually and in person. to reviewing post-interview outcomes, and your work will help uphold the quality and integrity of our processes. You'll also contribute to broader strategic goals, playing a vital part in delivering the IET's commitment to exceptional service.
What we hope you can bring to the role
We're looking for someone with experience in applicant processing or administration, ideally within a Professional Membership Body or a similar organisation. You'll be confident juggling multiple tasks and prioritising workloads, all while keeping accuracy and service standards high.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must - you'll be working with a variety of stakeholders including applicants, assessors, and senior volunteers. You'll also need to be comfortable working with complex databases and systems such as CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) and RPS (Review Process System) tools.

Process UK and international applications accurately in the Review Process System (RPS)
Apply judgement to request or follow up on additional information
Support decision-making activities and ensure outcomes are actioned in line with SLAs
Build strong relationships with applicants, assessors, and volunteers
Review qualifications using the Engineering Council portal, FEANI, Ecctis, and other frameworks
Manage assessment panels: booking rooms, arranging travel, and attending meetings
Support and host online interviews, including technical test calls and troubleshooting
Ensure post-interview decisions follow codes of practice; issue relevant communications
Handle Regulation 7A applications, appeals, transfers, and Technical Knowledge Assessments
Track and process Fellowship upgrades and elections, updating CRM systems accurately
Plan and support Engineering Awards and events
Contribute to achieving strategic registration and Fellowship KPIs
Respond to queries professionally and efficiently via dedicated inbox rotation

Previous experience in a customer-centric applicant processing or administrative role is essential.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple caseloads simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Experience in processing payment details or handling highly sensitive information.
