We are seeking a Rehabilitation Support Worker to provide an exceptional service for our client in Bury. About The Role
Your role will be dedicated to working with an 19-year-old male client with an acquired brain injury and autism. You will provide support before and after college, as well as during school holidays, assisting him with activities of daily living, medication, and personal care. He has other complex needs and can present challenging behaviour. Your responsibilities will include taking him out and about in the community, such as trips to Blackpool and participating in any activities he has planned outside of college. You will support him in social and leisure activities both at home and in the community. You will also assist with therapy programs set by a team of professionals working with the client.
A 4-weekly baseline rota will be provided, and flexibility to change is required. Building a professional relationship and supporting his rehabilitation plan are key aspects of this role.
Your main attributes will be friendly, approachable and have empathy towards your client treating them with respect and dignity at all times. We support vulnerable people to live as independently as possible, by building their confidence and skills to realise their potential.

About You
Experience of working in a support role, both in the community and the home.
Friendly, approachable and confident in the role.
Experience and ability to understand and deal with complex and challenging behaviour.
Flexible in approach to meet the needs of the client.
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent recognised health profession qualification.
Full driving licence.
Experience working with acquired brain injury
Previously worked with therapists to deliver a support plan.
Registered on DBS update service.
