As a Relief Children's Worker, you'll help create experiences that bring comfort, fun and confidence to children and young people with complex needs. Whether it's supporting someone to get ready for their day, joining in with creative play, or sharing a quiet moment of reassurance, your care and presence will make a real difference.

Main responsibilities

Support children and young people with complex needs in a residential setting Plan and take part in activities that promote enjoyment, confidence and connection Provide personal care with compassion, dignity and consistency Follow individual care plans and keep clear, accurate records Work as part of a team to create a calm, positive and supportive environment

About you

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience supporting children, young people or individuals with disabilities Is kind, adaptable and calm under pressure Can work well as part of a team and follow guidance Is flexible and able to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays when required Holds or is willing to work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People)

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
