RELIEF SUPPORT WORKERS

13.16 per hour



Sefton's leading care provider, New Directions, is now recruiting for a Support Worker in Wavell Close, Southport. We currently employ 350 staff across the business who pride themselves on delivering high quality social care and support to adults within the Sefton area.

Wavell Close offers a personalised service to adults who have learning disabilities and/or autism. Our staff work closely with individuals to develop their knowledge and understanding, highlighting key community values of respect, choice, dignity, privacy and stability.

Our supported living teams are on hand to provide support with relationships, enable people to develop new skills and advise people on their finances, all of which enables individuals to live as independently as possible.

Working on a relief basis allows you to fit work responsibilities around your family and home life, while still gaining the satisfaction of building relationships with people you will be supporting.

All we ask is for your commitment to picking up suitable shifts, based on your preferences and availability.

As a relief support worker, you will contribute to meeting the assessed care needs of the people we support in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence, demonstrating a sensitive, understanding, and patient approach.

Experience of working with vulnerable people in community or residential based settings is essential. A Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent is also essential.

An Enhanced DBS Check is required.
