Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

Hours: Flexible, Monday-Saturday 8am-8pm

Pay: 35per hour (In hours) 40 per hour (OOH)





Purpose:


We are working in partnership with a large healthcare provider and are seeking experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologists to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective psychological support to clients remotely.

GPDQ provides nationwide healthcare services for individuals, businesses, and the NHS. Led by NHS GP, Founder and Chief Medical Officer, Dr Anshu Bhagat, with services delivered by a multidisciplinary team, we harness the benefits of technology to deliver better local access to healthcare. Our services include GP consultations, physiotherapy, mental health, audiology, health checks, blood tests, vaccinations and more. Consultations take place online, at home or in a clinic with a GPDQ vetted GMC-registered NHS GP or highly skilled multidisciplinary team member.

Key Responsibilities:


Provide evidence-based therapeutic care with a focus on achieving strong clinical outcomes.
Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulations to inform effective treatment planning.
Offer flexible models of service delivery, including telephone and video consultations, depending on client needs.
Adhere to clinical governance, internal case management processes, and professional standards.
Work within client-defined sessional limits, aiming for meaningful therapeutic progress.
Provide signposting and referrals where clinically appropriate.
Deliver ad-hoc or one-off wellbeing coaching or psychological support as required.
Conduct one-off assessments and make appropriate referral recommendations.
Lead or support remote psychoeducational workshops and wellbeing events.
Work autonomously within professional guidelines and organisational procedures.
Attend regular clinical supervision and team meetings to support ongoing development and compliance with professional body guidelines.
Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to continuously enhance client and employee experiences.

Qualifications & Training - Essential:


Professional doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
General adult mental health experience.
Minimum of 1 year's post-qualification clinical experience.

Desirable:


Additional training/accreditation in specialist psychological areas.
Previous experience working in corporate or organisational settings.
Strong leadership and management skills.

Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
Ability to effectively prioritise and manage workload under pressure.
Strong clinical judgement and application of psychological knowledge.
Proven experience managing caseloads and working towards set outcomes.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal reporting skills.
A breadth of diverse clinical experience to inform practice.
