The Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources has an exciting opportunity for a Research Grant Administrator to join the administrative team to support the activities of the Institute of Environmental Design and Engineering and Institute of Sustainable Resources. The Institutes' focus is on the issue of sustainability within their domains which is conducted through teaching, research and partnership engagement.




About the role


------------------


We are seeking a research grant administrator to join the team managing BSEER's 70m research portfolio. The main purpose of the role is to provide administrative support managing research contracts, financial monitoring procedures, reporting and other grant project related tasks. The post-holder will support post award processes across a range of grants and opportunities including those funded by research councils, international and national government bodies, the EU and significant industry partners, as well activities such as contract completion, financial monitoring, reporting and other grant project related activities.

About you


-------------


Our ideal candidate must be efficient, organised and take great care in attention to detail. They will be educated to undergraduate level or equivalent. They will have excellent knowledge of Excel, including the ability to understand and use numerical formulae and pivot tables. A familiarity with university research funding including Research Councils and UK/international funding agencies is important along with good numeracy and financial data analysis skills.



This is a busy role, in a fast-paced environment, and the post holder is expected to be adaptable, quickly assimilate information and have strong use of initiative. The role requires interaction with many people both internal and external to UCL, therefore a professional attitude, willingness to help and ability to remain tactful and assertive are required in order to execute the duties outlined.
