Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activities Facilitator to join our team in providing activities to residents in our residential home for adults with profound and multiple learning and physical disabilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care and support.

Responsibilities

Facilitate engaging activities and activity plans for residents to enhance their quality of life. Communicate effectively using non verbal communication skills with residents to understand their needs and preferences. Collaborate with support staff and management to develop tailored activity plans for individuals. Monitor the well-being of residents and report any changes or concerns to management. Provide support during daily living activities as needed, ensuring dignity and respect for all individuals. Support individuals in the community with all aspects of their daily life, including personal care, nutrition, hydration, medication administration, among other aspects.

Qualifications

Previous experience in care settings such as care homes is preferred. Strong understanding of learning disabilities care principles and practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with residents empathetically. A caring attitude towards all individuals, demonstrating patience and understanding at all times. NVQ 3 in health and social care would be advantageous but not essential.

Monday 10am - 3pm

Tuesday 10am - 3pm

Wednesday 10am - 3pm

Thursday 5pm - 10pm

Friday 10am - 3pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 11.60 per hour
