The Residential Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a residential care facility, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained for all residents. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to providing exceptional home and senior care. The Residential Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing care plans, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Duties
Supervise and manage the care team to ensure quality service delivery to residents.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to the needs of each resident.
Oversee medication administration and ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed.
Foster a positive living environment by promoting resident engagement and well-being.
Conduct regular assessments of residents' needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any incidents that occur within the facility.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care.
Provide training and support to staff members, encouraging professional development within the team.
Qualifications
Proven experience in supervising staff within a home care or nursing home setting is essential.
Strong knowledge of senior care practices, including medication administration and care plan management.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
A compassionate approach to care with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents.
Relevant qualifications in health or social care would be advantageous but not mandatory.
