Be willing to develop yourself and undertake a Level 3 QCF qualification in Residential Childcare. If you have not gained this qualification, then you be on a level 1 until this is completed where you will then move up to a level 2.

Produce reports and maintain accurate records and have basic IT skills

A driving licence is essential.

Please Note:

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must have a good level of physical fitness to safely participate in physical interventions where necessary, in line with our Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) framework. This may include supporting young people during crisis situations, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all individuals involved.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application. We are unable to support Skilled Worker or other visa applications for this position.

About the Role

As a Level 1 (Unqualified) Children's Residential Care Practitioner no prior professional care experience is required for this position, as we offer comprehensive training, qualities we seek include:

At this level you will be expected to enrol on the QCF level 3

As a Level 2 (Qualified) Children's Residential Care Practitioner your responsibilities will include:

Building and maintaining relationships

Boundary setting

Shift Leading

Developing ideas and direct work with children

Mentoring new staff and leading practice areas

Managing household tasks and preparing young people for independent living.

Salary:

Level 1 12,444.44 (plus overtime where required)

Level 2 12,888.89 (plus overtime where required

All of the roles are subject to an Enhanced DBS

Shift Pattern:

Part/ bank, this will be evenings and weekends, with additional hours available to cover shifts, permanent, you will have a good work/life balance with a rota split between different shifts, some will include sleeping at the home. You will have a set pattern to ensure this balance is met.

Our Home

Located in Marton Gainsborough, providing care for children aged between primary school and 18 years. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Pre-employment checks
All applicants must be willing to undergo background checks. If you have not lived in the UK continuously for the past 5 years, you will also be required to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (or equivalent police clearance) from the country/countries where you have resided.

Interview Dates

Closing date Friday 9th January 2026 at noon.

Preliminary chats will be held via Teams on Monday 15th & 16th January 2026 and face to face interviews will be conducted on Thursday 22nd and 23rd January. You will be required to complete an application form provided by us before attending an interview.
