Working under the guidance of an experienced management team, you'll play a key role in shaping the experiences of both the young people we support and the team around you.

Your Role:


As Shift Leader, you'll take the lead during shifts, supporting both young residents and team members to deliver consistent, high-quality care. You'll act as a role model, provide guidance and structure, and ensure each child receives the individual attention and support they need to feel safe, heard, and empowered.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead shifts and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home Deliver direct care and emotional support to children and young people Support the implementation of care plans, routines, and safeguarding practices Mentor and guide junior staff, promoting a high standard of care and consistency Encourage participation in education, activities, and the development of life skills Build positive, trusting relationships with young people through empathy and consistency

What We're Looking For:



Minimum of 2 years' experience in residential childcare or a similar care setting Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or currently working towards it) Confident leadership with excellent communication and organisational skills A calm, compassionate, and resilient approach to challenging situations A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles A full UK driving licence (preferred)
