Introduction:

At White Orchid Care, our small, therapeutic homes provide a unique approach to residential care. Our homes offer a containing and nurturing home for young children who have experienced early life trauma and damaging life experiences.

We have opportunities available for both experienced support workers looking for the next step of their career pathway, and passionate individuals who are looking for a new career in Residential Child Care.

It is not essential that you have experience of working in a care role to join our team as full training will be provided.

The Job:

o The role requires you to be diverse, energetic and be able to work in a therapeutic way.

o You will demonstrate empathy, compassion, resilience and positive parenting skills.

o You will work as part of a dynamic team in providing a consistent approach towards the care of the children.

o You will need to be flexible, adaptable and be able to help our young people make positive choices.

o Your priority will be to safeguard our children from risk and harm, ensuring that they receive an outstanding level of care.

o You will be a part of everyday life for the children living at White Orchid Care; you will support them with daily routines including education, health, leisure activities and understanding the world around them.

o You will drive our children to activities and appointments, encouraging them to take part in exciting new challenges.

o You will be supported by an established and professional team who work together to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children living in our homes.

o Our in-house training centre will focus on your personal development as well as ensure all relevant and mandatory training is provided and up to date.

o You will be organised, committed and passionate about the work you do.

What We Offer You:

Residential Carer - Overall Expected Earnings:

27,604.80

o

Basic Salary:

22,420.80

o

Sleepover Allowance:

54.00 per sleep-over (average 8 per month).

o

Shift Leader earning potential: 30,000 +

o

Enhanced Overtime Opportunities:

On occasions, in line with the needs of the business, there may be opportunities to earn more through additional hours at an enhanced hourly rate and associated bonus.

o

Shift Pattern:

Varied shift pattern ensuring work/life balance. We strive to meet any reasonable working requests in line with the needs of the children, the homes and ensuring a fair balance for all employees.

o

Holiday:

5.6 weeks annual leave per annum.

o

DBS:

Enhanced DBS Application and subscription to the DBS Update Service.

o

In-House Training Centre:

An in-depth induction for all new employees including mandatory training, therapeutic practice, understanding trauma and de-escalation and containment.

o

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare:

Funded Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (on successful completion of probation period).

o

Bonuses:

You will be rewarded 500 every time you successfully refer a friend.
