The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated

Manager

to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our children's home. As the Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children in our care while managing a team of care staff. You will be instrumental in promoting positive outcomes for children, establishing a positive and empowering environment, and ensuring the care home is compliant with all relevant legislation and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and manage the children's care home to provide high-quality, nurturing care and support for the children. Oversee the daily operations of the care home, including staffing, budgeting, and scheduling. Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for children in accordance with their individual needs. Ensure the care home meets all regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, and health and safety regulations. Provide guidance, training, and support to staff members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Work closely with external agencies (e.g., social workers, health professionals, education providers) to ensure children receive holistic support. Maintain detailed records of children's progress, incidents, and activities in line with safeguarding requirements. Foster positive relationships with children and encourage them to reach their full potential. Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure staff members are trained and equipped to carry out their roles effectively. Ensure a strong safeguarding culture is embedded within the team and that any concerns are addressed promptly. Prepare reports for management, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders. Ensure the care home's environment is safe, clean, and conducive to the well-being of the children.

Skills and Experience:



Previous experience managing a children's care home or similar environment is essential. A strong understanding of child safeguarding and relevant legislation. Proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Experience in care planning, risk assessments, and supporting children with complex needs. A passion for improving the lives of vulnerable children and making a difference in their development. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of Ofsted inspections and the ability to ensure compliance with standards. A level 5 diploma in leadership for health and social care (Children and Young People) or equivalent is preferred, but not essential.

Pay: 60,000.00-80,000.00 per year
