Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to children and young people, in their daily activities. This position requires a proactive approach to care, ensuring that each individual's needs are met while promoting their independence and wellbeing.

Responsibilities



Assist children and young people with daily living activities. Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child. Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support system. Maintain accurate records of care provided and progress made in line with care plans. Drive to various locations as required for family contact, school or activities. Provide emotional support and encouragement to children, fostering a positive environment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care provided. Engage in recreational activities that promote social interaction and skill development. Participate in training and staff meetings to develop skills and strategies to support our children and young people.

Experience



Previous experience working with children is highly desirable. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication is an advantage. A background in childcare or related fields will be beneficial. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with children and families. A valid driving licence and vehicle is essential to facilitate travel between locations. The role requires shift work, sleep-ins, evenings and weekends.
