Job Overview


Pace are seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage our small to medium size (100k - 500k value) construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent time management skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities



Below is a list of roles, responsibilies, activities we will expect you to carry out as part of your role:

PROJECTS:



Prepare and maintain live project programmes for your projects (3-4 projects).

Liaise with the site team for each project to ensure that orders are being planned and ordered in a timely manner to ensure maximum efficiency and meet programme dates.

Place orders required for your projects in a timely manner.

Ensure skips and other necessary orders are placed in a timely manner.

Set clear targets for the team on site, motivating them to deiver against these targets (and challenging /questioning them when not met).

Ensure sites are set up and maintained correctly and safely in line with Pace Projects H& S policy.

Proactively plan all activities on the project to ensure efficiency and continuity on site.

CLIENTS / 3RD PARTIES:



Liaise with sub-contractors to ensure they are programmed in to maintain efficiency.

Liaise with architects, clients and other profressional services to request any information required and resolve any site queries or issues.

Arrange and attend regular and inpromtu client meetings.

ADMINISTRATIVE:



Maintain a live record of all client decisions and information required across your projects, updating regularly.

Keep a record of any variations / changes that have been requested or required, and the impact these have had on the project programmes.

Prepare fortnightly/monthly 1-pager reports for each project (especially where architects / CA involved).

Take a full record of photos throughout the project that can be issued to Building Control and / or clients & architects.

Check sign-in books to make sure always correctly filled in.

Use Buildertrend to manage projects and encourage others to do so too.

Experience and essential skills



Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar role in the construction industry. Excellent Microsoft product suite skills Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders effectively. A positive, can do attitude.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 45,000.00-60,000.00 per year
