We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Residential Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy conveyancing team. The successful candidate will support our Conveyancer in all aspects of residential property transactions, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with all aspects of the residential conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion.
Prepare and manage legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
Carry out administrative tasks including file opening, data entry, and diary management.
Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties.
Order property searches and handle Land Registry applications.
Maintain up-to-date case management systems and ensure files are compliant with regulatory requirements.
Monitor and chase outstanding documentation or actions.
Provide general support to fee earners and help manage caseloads effectively.
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in a residential conveyancing role or legal assistant role.
Good understanding of the conveyancing process.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
Attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent client service.
