The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the legal aspects of residential property transactions, ensuring a smooth process from initial instruction through to completion. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Manage the conveyancing process for residential property transactions, including sales and purchases.
Conduct thorough legal research and due diligence on properties.
Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage agreements.
Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the transaction.
Negotiate terms of contracts and resolve any issues that may arise during the conveyancing process.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations throughout the transaction.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications.
Provide clients with regular updates on the progress of their transactions.
Experience
Previous experience in residential conveyancing is essential.
Strong negotiation skills are required to effectively manage client expectations and resolve disputes.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in using conveyancing software and Microsoft Office applications.
A law degree or equivalent qualification in property law is preferred but not mandatory.
