About the Role

In this role you will assist OUP\xe2\x80\x99s Real Estate and Workplace Centre of Excellence, which covers Facilities, Real Estate, HSSE and BCP activities within the business. The role is primarily to assist in providing robust project coordination and day-to-day support for its residential (c160no) and small commercial (c.10no) investment portfolio and related capital improvements programme(s) and is involved in provision of OUP\xe2\x80\x99s business support services to enhance and maximize the effectiveness of the business.

Key accountabilities:

  • Manage the delivery of active residential portfolio management
  • Manage and maintain ongoing capital refurbishment programme and lifecycle schedules for residential portfolio
  • Co-ordinate and facilitate the delivery of minor and major planned refurbishment projects
  • Support delivery of active commercial portfolio management
  • Originate capital investment business cases to support residential strategy
  • Track and manage reporting
  • Assist with collation and management of key data
  • Manage purchase order requisitions, billing and budgets, contract maintenance
  • Support development of Centre of Excellence capabilities
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

This is a fixed term contract for 24 months.

About You

You will be responsible for various property management and location support activities, primarily within Oxford, UK. You will Identify, enhance, and follow specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of the business to which the support is being provided. In this role you will also ensure the correct functioning of residential and small commercial investment portfolio and associated business support services, and coordinate delivery of day-to-day operational and project management services either internally or through an outsourced service provider.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships and effectively influence and gain support for ideas.
  • Possess a sound understanding of the real estate industry and strong persuasive presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen, able to place real estate in a wider business context and capable of providing robust and accurate advice to business divisions.
  • Strong financial, analytical and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), comfortable with operating across the organisation and able to influence business stakeholders.
  • Highly customer-focussed, willing to strive for excellence.
  • Flexible and adaptable, willing to take on new challenges and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Experience of managing real estate software systems and lease databases.
